Because non-target robots are tactical blockers. They are part of route design and often required for shortest solutions.
Lower move count is better. In timed contexts, faster clear time helps ranking tie-breakers.

The board is a 16x16 grid with outer walls on every edge and inner walls placed on cell boundaries. Inner walls come in two types: straight walls that block one side of a cell, and L-shaped walls that block two adjacent sides. The layout is randomly generated for each game but stays fixed during a round.
Every day at midnight UTC, a new puzzle is generated and shared globally. All players receive the same board, robot positions, and target. Your goal is to solve it in the fewest moves possible. Results are compared on a global leaderboard, so you can see how your solution ranks against players worldwide.
When a round starts, all players study the board simultaneously. Players then bid the number of moves they believe they can solve the puzzle in. The player with the lowest bid gets a chance to demonstrate their solution within a time limit. If they succeed, they score points. If they fail, the next lowest bidder gets a chance.
There is no hard move limit in single player mode — you can take as many moves as you need. However, the goal is always to minimize moves. In multiplayer, your bid becomes your move limit for that round.
Yes. In single player and daily challenge modes, you can undo your last move or reset the entire round. In multiplayer demonstration phase, undo is also available but counts against your timer.
