FAQ

Quick answers for the most common Ricocheto questions.

Do I need an account to play?

No. Guest mode is available. Account login is recommended if you want cloud profile, ranking records, and persistent customization.

Can I customize as a guest?

Yes. Guest customization is stored locally in your browser. It can be lost if browser storage is cleared.

Why can all robots move if only one is the target?

Because non-target robots are tactical blockers. They are part of route design and often required for shortest solutions.

How is score calculated?

Lower move count is better. In timed contexts, faster clear time helps ranking tie-breakers.

Why did my multiplayer connection fail?

Most failures come from temporary network issues, CORS origin mismatch, or stale tab sessions. Refreshing and rejoining usually resolves it.

Can a room start with only 2 players?

Yes. If room settings allow it and minimum ready conditions are met, the host can start.

How do invite links work?

Hosts can copy/share a room link. Opening that link auto-fills room code and attempts room join when connected.

Does language selection affect gameplay data?

No. Language only changes interface text. Match history and progression data are independent.

How often are updates released?

Small fixes are shipped continuously, and larger feature changes are announced through in-app notices.

Where can I report issues?

Use the Contact page email and include environment, steps, and screenshots for faster triage.

Is this game affiliated with the original board game publisher?

No. Ricocheto is an independent web puzzle project and is not an official product of any board game publisher.

Can I play on mobile and desktop with the same account?

Yes. Account-based progress can be used across devices as long as you sign in with the same identity.

What should I include when reporting a bug?

Include device type, browser version, exact step sequence, and a screenshot or short video if possible.

Why are some language pages shorter than others?

Core pages are being expanded progressively by language. Korean and English currently have the most complete long-form content.
